We’re very new to Twitter too, and know exactly how you feel, three posts to date! Things are starting to pick up for our company mainly in print design, I think people are still holding onto their cash before they splash it about on large web design projects. Still here’s hoping.

    Hi Alec
Thanks for your comments. Yes the twitter thing its hard to know what to write – a blog post is easier. I’m glad things are picking up for you too.

Hey Tara, glad that work is keeping you busy, would like to see to see more posts though, jokes! I’m looking forward to seeing the screencast, videos would be an amazing addition to the blog. I hope all is well and keep up the good work!

PS. I hope twittering is living up to your expectations.

Good to know you are on Twitter. I must confess I am not much into social networking but now that almost all my peers are insisting that I join a few social networking sites, I guess I would start with twitter and facebook. I have a question for you, if you don’t mind: how has twitter benefited you so far, personally and professionally?

    Hi Agnideb

Thanks for your comment. It is too early for me to say about twitter – I have only been on there about a week :) or two. I can say though that I am on Face book (personally not because of my blog) and this has got me back in touch with one of my friends I went to college with (and worked with in one job) and we are now meeting up regularly.

    Hi SJL

    Thanks
I know I would love to post more to, annoying how work interferes with stuff you want to do personally ;) . Hope things are busy for you too. I would like to crack this screencasting thing, hopefully I will get better with less umming and ahhing and stuttering :)

The web provides many opportunities for free online Graphic Design Self Promotion. The great thing about these techniques is not only are you effectively getting free advertising but you will also have design clients finding you rather than just looking for them.

Busy is definitely good news in this economy. I can’t wait until it picks up here and I can get back into my field.

“Busy is definitely good news in this economy”

Agreed! The economy is going really bad. Actually a couple of friends in my neighborhood just got sacked and are looking for an alternative.

Thanks so much! These are great, as is quite a bit of other stuff you give away on this site.

Cheer to you Tara for the continued busy-ness with your business (har dee har har)!

All silliness aside I’d be curious to know how the Twitter thing is going for you. Personally – I know I sound like an old stick in the mud here – Twitter just rubs me the wrong way. Though I can see how it might have some extremely minimal SEO benefit it seems to me more of a teen and tween fad than something worth wasting precious work hours on. I’m more than happy to be proven wrong but so far I haven’t found anyone who can give me a solid reason for pursuing an active Twitter account other than ‘everybody’s doing it!’ Looking forward to hearing your perspective. Love your blog!

Hi, Sorry for the late reply your comment had gone into my spam folder. I am still undecided about twitter though I must say that using Tweetdeck makes it have more potential for connecting with possible clients and your peers. Tweetdeck allows you to see tweets immediately and so brings more of a conversational element to everything. Will have to wait and see how it goes :)
