Toy Paper Designs I Stumbled On

Share

toypaper1 I love modern character design, and I stumbled upon a site called http://www.toypaper.co.uk/ which combines character design with origami. There are toypaper2little characters, monsters and other items which you can print out and make up into 3D pieces. Some are even left blank so you can customise them yourself. What a fun idea, great for big kids and little ones too. The site looks really cool as well.

Cute little character. I am not sure that the box shape is the best possible, but… it’s cute. :)

I’m trying to modify the snicker into a business card holder for myself. I’m gonna look into making something like this to leave behind when I’m out pitching to leave behind with my portfolio

What a great find. Love the site, the characters, the design, the colours! Reminds me of the Boxy Toys, only ToyPaper is better :)

Did you see the website of the author? Rememberthelittleguy.com John has some characters called weatheroscopes (found in the sketchbook section, pencil icon) “who sit on top of mountains and decide what the weather will be like.” It reminded me of the Weather Pops! Did you find this site while doing research for them?

I really love his illustration style and color schemes. He does a great job. I wonder if he’s done some children’s books before.

Just stumbled across this, and I’m shocked to see it was from 2007! Toy character designs have gotten a lot more popular since then, so this was way ahead of it’s time!
