Would Of like of the been evolved in this, but I've just realised the what the date was! doh! I've operated as an seo freelance for over 6 years now, and this event sounded perfect!

Ok, its important to "know" a lot of things in life, buts its also important to have a good time! My personal goal was to leave the UK and work Australia, where the work / life balance simply un-matched by any other country in the world!

Yes, you are right. Is important to know as many things as possible in life, not only on the internet. But I also think is important not to lose focus. Well, about me.. I don't have your skills for sure :)
I do a bit of coding -when I have to- but mostly PPC
Cheers

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the comments.I guess all I can say is that I started off as a kid sketching, and just went from there.

All I really ever wanted to do was teach myself as much as I could...today, I am able to offer many services and keep my daily routine very interesting!

one hour I could be a pixel monkey designing a billboard, the next hour I could be a code monkey programming query strings in ASP. Some may argue that a jack of all trades is a master of none....but...I don't think that can really apply here. Im not a master of any of those trades, but I have worked extremely hard to be good at all of them! Otherwise, nobody would pay me! :)

Im not sure how accurate rating myself will be as I am never satisfied with my design work anyways....all I can really say is there will always be more to learn! I am only in the early stages of ASP programming, as this is the newest "thing" I am teaching myself.

What type of work do you do Matt? Do you freelance? I think it is smart to learn a variety of skills in any job...that way you are more attractive to a potential employer or potential client.

How would you rate each skill from 1 to 10?
Cheers

Hi Mali,

I hope it does pay off for you also!

If the thought of getting to work in your undies each day is what drives you to further success, then go for it I say! It makes for less laundry that's for sure!

Thanks David.

Working that many hours each day was not much fun! I would be at the full time job at 8.30am, until 5.30pm. Then I would work from home on my own projects from about 6.30pm until about 1am, 2am...4am sometimes.

However, it was all worth it as I now have a great foundation to build my company on. I now have the time during the day to network, attend Chamber of Commerce events etc... plus my girlfriend and my dog are both a lot happier these days!
