photoshop book for web design

I just had an email from Sitepoint that I thought I would share with you. They are currently offering their full book The Photoshop Anthology: 101 Web Design Tips, Tricks & Techniques as a PDF download for free. I have bought some Sitepoint books in the past and they have been excellent so if you want to learn more about photoshop download yourself a free copy

Well, it’s not completely free, you still need to give them your email address :)

Thanks for pointing this out. I just returned a copy of this book to the library today. The coincidence is too weird! I had to go on a waiting list to borrow it in the first place, which shows how popular it is.

While much of the content is at a relatively basic or introductory Photoshop level, I did find some aspects useful (Photoshop is such a complex program, there’s always more to learn, even concerning the basics) and I’ll be downloading a copy. That’s incredibly generous of sitepoint to give it away like that - do you know if they’ve done book giveaways like this frequently in the past?

Hi Tracey, I don’t know if they have given away full books but they always allow you to download sample PDFs of parts of their books before you purchase them.

i don’t know how much it help it. bcz, I think designing skill depends on how much you practice it or spending the time to grab it rather than reading books.

Oh hey, cool! Thanks for pointing this out, Tara.

@Tracey, I’m learning new stuff about Photoshop all the time, too! Hope I’ll get some good stuff out of this book.

Well done, Tara, I’ve just downloaded it. I’ve read two Sitepoint books: “How to build websites the right way using HTML and CSS” and “The CSS anthology” and I’ve been quite impressed with both of them. And I’m impressed with this free offer (so impressed I’ve just joined their forums now!)
Also, it’s fully interactive you can click on the subject in the index and it’ll take you right there – searchable too!
