Don’t Panic are running a competition to design a poster using the theme of ‘Stress’ as your inspiration. The 10 designs with the most online votes will have their posters exhibited at the special Don’t Panic Exhibition and will be judged by James Joyce www.one-fine-day.co.uk. The winner’s artwork will also be printed on the Don’t Panic poster, and 80 thousand copies distributed throughout the UK. Over at http://blog.iamparagon.com I found a post about a digital design tournament held by a company called Cut and Paste. This year the digital design competition will take place in 11 cities around the World. Graphic designers taking part will be given 15 minutes to create a design/illustration based on a given theme. You can see other Cut and Paste videos at Youtube
The entry deadline for this years competition is July 17th so if you want to enter you’d better get your skates on. I’m just hoping they show the heats on TV, it looks like it would be addictive viewing.
123 Royalty Free photo library is currently running a design competition, to win prizes including a 15 inch Mac Book Pro. To enter you simply need to submit one of your designs which must use a least one RF123 image or you can win by voting for designs. I have started to use RF123’s royalty free images images. they are a bit cheaper than istock and have a few different images, so even if you don’t want to enter any work it’s worth taking a look at their pics.
Submitted designs will also be displayed randomly RF123 which could also be a nice bit of exposure for your design work even if you don’t win.
