As some of you may know I have been away in the South of France for a couple of weeks, got back just yesterday. Thank you to everybody who continued to post comments on my blog they are much appreciated I am sorry I have not been around to reply. I have a slight complex that you guys prefer it when I am not here as I had 1600 visits one day while I was away, I was previously getting between 1000 and 1400
.
The thing I hate about holidays is as soon as you get back they are all forgotten aren’t they? Yesterday afternoon when I got home I had the delight of sorting through 1700 emails – loads of spam (I must sort that out I know) loads of comments on my blog (thanks again), its was heard to believe the day before I had been sitting in the sunshine staring at fields of vines and hills.
This morning I have been trying to catch up with things, I must make phone calls answer some of those emails etc etc. That’s one of the downsides of freelancing, everything just waits for your return, and of course you don’t get paid for your holiday either, so its bread and water for dinner tonight
.
Anyway I must get back to work, I have ideas for posts I will write as soon as I can and thanks again for reading. Any suggestions for posts you would like to read are always welcome too. Thanks to Randa Clay too for getting the Flickr design inspiration site going too following my post “graphic design cook book“. Why not add up some of your work to inspire others at http://flickr.com/groups/inspir/

Welcome back..! We missed you!
thanks Paul
Glad you’re back! Have some pictures to share with us? I’ve never been to the south of France, but I’m sure it’s beautiful.
Thanks Randa,
Haven’t had chance to download my pics yet, will see if I have any good one when I get chance. We went the Languedoc area, which is amazingly beautiful hills and vineyards stretching for miles and the village streets are really narrow – I wish I was still there.
I don’t envy your email catch-up!
I hope you had a great break though, and it’s good to know you’re back safe. Ciao for now.
Good to see you back Tara. I was very impressed with your two weeks worth of future posts you gave us.
Thanks David and Aaron. Good to be back (OK maybe thats a lie I could stay in France for months given the chance)
Coming back to work is a MAJOR drag alright, but it just means you can start planning your next trip. (That’s what I do.)
Hi Jennifer, funny you should say that, I have been thinking about next years holiday already. I think I had this holiday planned straight after my previous one too.
Welcome back, Tara. You’ve got a great community of loyal readers here. It didn’t even feel that the blog’s owner is away. Kudos to you for staying away from the computer/internet while on holidays. But yes, it’s very overwhelming to get back to business upon return.
Thanks Vivien,
I really had to stop myself taking the laptop, but I wouldn’t have been able to get online easily where we were anyway. Blogging years are a bit like dog years, you go away for a couple of weeks and feel like you have missed out on about a years worth of blog reading.
A week last Friday I took the day off to climb Snowdon. It took me until 8.55pm on Monday night to catch up!
I really do sympathize with you!
