365 Vector Character Designs – a Designers Personal Project

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about personal design projects and how important I think they are to stretch yourself and your design talents. Being a big fan of character design I was impressed to find Project 365 Vector Characters created by designer Sneh Roy from http://www.littleboxofideas.com.

Sneh has challenged herself to create one vector character a day for a year

I am not sure I could be so disciplined to create a character a day for a year but I admire her for doing so. Check out a few of her characters below and visit her blog to see more.

What a great idea, but it’s definitely challenging to keep up with it for 365 days!

PS. The links from the article aren’t working for me..

That’s a really cool idea. I really like Sneh’s style of illustration so am sure that she will have some amazing characters after 365 days. Excellent effort. Thanks for sharing Tara.

I’ve had a look at some of the characters she has drawn and they are brilliant. To be able to make one a day is a very disciplined thing to do. I have a lot of respect for people who do 365 projects.

Wow, fair play to her for carrying on and doing this every single day… Hope she gets the recognition she deserves for doing it. Looks like she’s managing to keep them all quite different too, cool.

You can never see too much of these. Is crazy what you can do with Illustrator without even touching the gradient mesh tool.
